My name is Ajla Pilipović, I was born and raised in a small town in Bosnia and Herzegovina. After high school, I moved to the capital of Slovenia for further education.
I graduated from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering, University of Ljubljana. I am planning to expand my knowledge in the field of interactive design. My attention is taken by today's popularity of game development, so my goal is to gain experience in game art.
At one point in my life, I was engaged exclusively in drawing and painting, as I was quite successful at it.
Fortunately, visual artists are not limited to traditional visual art media. Computer usage has already blurred the distinctions between illustrators, photographers, photo editors and 3D modelers, so it’s no wonder I am dealing with so many things.
Sophisticated rendering and editing software lead to multi-skilled image developers, so I am always in the process of learning new programs that could help me in my creative expression and work.
This is the process of forming the shape of an object by manipulating edges, vertices, and polygons in a simulated 3D space. As a 3D artists, I produce models or meshes, animation, 3D environment, and cinematics for video games. A game artist is a visual artist who creates rough sketches of the characters, buildings, weapons, vehicles and objects from the concept of the game. Design begins in the pre-production phase of creating a video game. The manual modeling process of preparing geometric data for 3D computer graphics is similar to plastic arts such as sculpting.
Graphic design solves a problem as well as being aesthetically pleasing. It is important to understand clients needs, as well as the needs of the people who will be interacting with the design. I combine business and creative objectives to elevate the design beyond purely aesthetic means. Graphic design transforms a linguistic message into a graphic manifestation. I always strive to understand product, including aspects of branding, design, usability, and function, so I could make precise presentation of visual messages.
Art forms such as painting and drawing are really close to me. For paintings, I usually use oil or acrylic on canvas.
I frequently use drawings and fast sketches in the beginning of process of product development, idea or concept.
Rendering is 3DCG process of converting 3D models into 2D images. That is the final process of creating the actual 2D image or animation from the prepared scene. Frames are displayed sequentially at high frame rates, typically 24, 25, or 30 frames per second (fps), to achieve the illusion of movement. I use digital tools, often referred to as interactive design, or multimedia design to make animations such as short films and videos. I use Adobe Premiere Pro for that perfect finishing touch.
Scenic design is the creation of theatrical, film or TV scenery. A designer looks at the details searching for evidence through research to produce conceptual ideas that best support the content and values with visual elements. Scenic design is discovering what will best clarify and support the setting, environment, atmosphere, ambience and world that is being created. Costume design is the creation of clothing for the overall appearance of a character, and it contribute to the fullness of the artistic, visual world which is unique to a particular theatrical or cinematic production.
I worked in a team on set design and costume design on an opera projects, where I was mentored by director Rocc and textile designer Marija Jenko.
