Scenic design is the creation of theatrical, film, or TV scenery. A designer looks at the details searching for evidence through research to produce conceptual ideas that best support the content and values with visual elements. Scenic design is discovering what will best clarify and support the setting, environment, atmosphere, ambiance, and world that is being created. Costume design is the creation of clothing for the overall appearance of a character, and it contributes to the fullness of the artistic, visual world which is unique to a particular theatrical or cinematic production.
